The Spanish Ceramic Tile Manufacturers’ Association (ASCER) has announced a new edition of the Tile of Spain Architecture, Interior Design, and Final Degree Project Awards. Architect Iñaki Ábalos will chair the panel of judges, formed by architects and designers Ángela García de Paredes, Víctor Navarro, Bak Gordon, Moisés Puente, Martín Azúa and Ramón Monfort. The aim of the Tile of Spain Awards is to promote the use of Spanish ceramic tiles in architecture and interior design both in Spain and abroad. The awards are sponsored by Endesa, Vodafone, Port Authority of Valencia, and CESCE.

The Awards have a prize fund of €39,000 (approx. $45,511) distributed among three categories. The two main categories, Architecture and Interior Design, each will have a cash prize of €17,000 (~ $19,838), and the Final Degree Project award will have a cash prize of €5,000 (~ $5,834). The panel of judges are also entitled to give two special mentions in each category.

After 15 years, the Awards is also renewing its brand identity, adopting a more contemporary image in line with current design trends. The website has also been renewed according to the new image and has launched a promotional video about the Awards on social media.
