Flexco announced it has earned FloorScore indoor air quality certification from Scientific Certification Systems. Developed by the Resilient Floor Covering Institute, FloorScore tests and certifies hard surface flooring and flooring adhesive products for compliance with rigorous indoor air quality emissions requirements. Individual volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are evaluated using health-based specifications.

“After reviewing where we stood as far as our green efforts and meeting LEED requirements on most of our product line, we felt that it was just the next step for us to take in our initiative to maintain our place in the market as one of the leading floor covering providers,” said Melissa Quick, Flexco's marketing coordinator. “SCS tested our products and audited our manufacturing practices to see how our products stacked up. After careful review and consideration we were awarded the FloorScore certificates for our product line.”

Products bearing the FloorScore label meet the indoor air emissions criteria of the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS), LEED® Green Building Rating Systems, and the Green Guide for Health Care.
