TEC's new free Installation Systems Coverage Calculator App for smart phones includes product videos, contact information and a mobile version of the Coverage Calculator, which estimates the amount of tile and flooring installation products needed for a specific job.
“The TEC Installation Systems Coverage Calculator App reflects our commitment to being accessible to tile and flooring contractors throughout the entire job,” says Grant Huffine, Senior Market Manager for H.B. Fuller Construction Products Inc., the manufacturer of TEC brand products. “We are excited to provide a new tool that may help contractors do their jobs more easily and efficiently.”
The TEC Coverage Calculator, a feature on the TEC website, allows contractors to calculate the estimated amount of surface preparation products, mortars and grouts necessary for a project. Contractors simply enter their project’s specifications – including square footage, tile size and size of grout joint – and product estimates are reported in pounds and gallons and bags and pails. Users can save a product’s coverage summary to the “My Saved Jobs” section on the app. This feature allows contractors to store their projects and quickly reference them for future jobs.
According to the company, with the new iPhone app, contractors can more conveniently access the benefits of the TEC Coverage Calculator, allowing them to plan for projects from virtually any location.
App users can also view TEC videos hosted on YouTube. The videos provide on-site guidance for working with TEC products and quick refreshers about proper installation technique.
The Coverage Calculator continues to be available at www.tecspecialty.com/customer-tools/coverage-calculator/, and both the web and mobile version will have the additional capability to estimate an expanded line of flooring adhesives later in 2014.
