The Flooring Contractors Association's (FCICA) Certified Installation Manager (CIM) program is now available online in its entirety.

Specifically developed for commercial flooring installation managers, the CIM program encompasses eight modules and their related assessment tests, which were developed using manufacturers, related industry associations and best practices.

"CIM designees will possess the key knowledge required by today’s employers and customers," said Bruce Reeve, chairman of the Installation Manager Taskforce. "The program will not only enhance CIM designees own careers, but additionally benefit their employers with increased knowledge and less work time missed because of training time spent away from the job.”

The CIM candidates' learning path includes: utilizing the estimate, planning the job, understanding contractual obligations, scheduling and assigning resources, managing on-site conditions, managing change orders on-site, financial management and closing out the job.

According to Reeve, CIM candidates can complete the program at their own pace, on their schedule, in the comfort of their home or office.
