Lancaster, Pa. -- Ecore now offers a continuing education Unit (CEU) titled “Flooring Design with Acoustics in Mind.” Upon completion of this course, architects and designers will have a better understanding of sound, acoustic ratings and flooring solutions that can help to reduce noise levels in various applications, including healthcare, education, multi-family, hospitality and fitness. This CEU also addresses acoustic problems that can arise when moving away from carpet to smooth surfaces in different settings.
“Acoustics is complicated,” said Bo Barber, vice president of sales with Ecore. “This CEU is our effort to educate architects and designers about all the challenges related to noise in the built environment. At Ecore, our surfacing can have a profound effect on impact sound and structure-borne vibration. This aligns with our commitment to create floors that do more with regard to acoustics, ergonomics and safety.”
