Ali Krieger Sports Complex Opens With New Shaw Sports Turf Fields
Dumfries, Va. -- The Ali Krieger Sports Complex at Potomac Shores held a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the official opening of the park. Complete with new Shaw Sports Turf soccer fields, the 29.7 acre sports complex is named after soccer star Ali Krieger, an area native and member of the 2015 winning Women’s World Cup team. The 2015 Women’s World Cup was played on Shaw Sports Turf at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
The new complex features sports fields with lights, concessions with comfort facilities and a children’s playground.
