Ripped and damaged vinyl and carpet were not safe flooring surfaces for the residents and staff at View Point Health, a group home in Covington, Georgia, that specializes in the care of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Beauflor USA’s Commercial Controller Keeli Padgett, whose late aunt previously lived at the group home, knew that Beauflor could help. After receiving pictures from her father that showed the damaged flooring, she presented an idea to replace it to Beauflor’s senior leadership team who agreed to donate 3,200 square feet of sheet vinyl—and cover all installation expenses.
“It is important that we give back to our community,” said George Frederick, managing director, Beauflor USA. “We support many local initiatives without having any personal connections but this one was presented to us by an employee that was so passionate about the organization. After learning about the group home and how the new flooring would benefit so many people, we were compelled to get this done.”
