The Floor Covering Industry Foundation (FCIF) is running its year-end campaign with hopes to raise additional funds for families in the floor covering industry who are experiencing a life altering illnesses, catastrophic injuries, and other severe medical disabilities.

One of the families who have recently been impacted by FCIF is Kathy and Johnny. When Kathy was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer and stage 4 liver cancer, financial circumstances changed for her and her husband, Johnny. They did not know how they would pay for their household expenses in addition to Kathy’s medical bills that were beginning to accumulate. Kathy has worked in the industry for 17 years as a warper operator, creeler, and material handler. Luckily, FCIF was able to help Kathy and Johnny by providing a financial assistance grant.

"This grant has blessed my life beyond measure," Kathy shared. "It kept me from losing my home and helped me pay for my medical treatments. I cannot thank FCIF enough.”

Kathy is now in remission; however, she receives an immunotherapy drug every six weeks to help keep her healthy.

Financial assistance grants are awarded based on need for expenses such as medical care, medications, medical supplies, and other necessities as food, shelter, and utilities. Join the cause and give today! Visit fcif.org to make a pledge and help those battling a medical crisis.
