The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) announced four new inductees to its College of Fellows, the organization's highest honor awarded to fewer than one percent of members.
The 2025 Fellows are:
Darrin Brooks of Utah State University, recognized for his research on Oval Office interior design and mentorship of over 850 student members. Brooks co-founded Ideal for Utah, which helped pass legislation making Utah the 27th state to adopt interior design laws.
Douglas Feldman, principal of Feldman Design Studio in Boca Raton, Florida, currently chairs ASID's Advocacy Committee and previously served as president of the Interior Design Associations Foundation, successfully defeating deregulation bills in Florida.
Virginia Weida, CEO of Virginia WeidaDesigns, has managed over $13 million in commercial renovation projects covering 900,000+ square feet in the past two years. Named 2024 ASID Advocate of the Year, she previously chaired the Advocate by Design Council.
Ken Wilson, design principal at Perkins&Will's Washington, D.C. office, is a sustainability leader with over 40 years of experience. He contributed to developing LEED rating systems and led the ASID headquarters project—the first globally to achieve dual LEED and WELL Platinum certifications.
"ASID Fellows are a direct reflection of the growth and development of not only our association, but the design community as a whole," said ASID CEO Khoi Vo. The Fellows will be formally recognized at GATHER 2025 on August 17 during the "Cheers to Excellence" celebration.
The Fellowship recognizes sustained contributions to practice, education, research, and advocacy that have significantly advanced the interior design profession.
