The Hawaii Flooring Association recently installed its new officers and directors for the 2002-2004 term at the organization's 14th Biennial Convention on the island of Oahu. Roy Tokuhama, president of Abbey Carpets in Hawaii, has been re-installed as president.

Lester Tokuhisa, president of Island Flooring Inc., has been named vice president and special events chairman. George Fern, owner of Kauai Floors, has been named secretary and serves as Kauai director. Serving as treasurer and Maui director is Warren Orikasa, president of Maui Carpet & Drapery Inc.

Directors include Dinah Hirayama, co-owner of Ray's Carpet & Drapery; Hawaii Director Les Kumiji, owner of Les’ Carpet & Drapery in Hilo; and Norman Shimabukuro, president of Floors of Hawaii, as immediate past president.

Associate representatives include Jackson Uyeda, branch manager of Tri-West of Hawaii; and Mike Takamoto, general manager of Medallion Carpets.

Tim Lyons, CAE, president of TLC, will continue to serve as executive director.
