As it approaches its one year anniversary, distributor Menlo Hardwood Co., says it is finding a strong demand for its niche approach to hardsurface flooring. The Redwood City, Calif., distributor specializes in wide plank, long-length plank, carbonized (or fired) wood, and hand-scraped selections from around the world.

Menlo Hardwood's main line is its distinctive Bellagio Collection from Oregon Lumber Co. The distributor also carries products from Tuscany Hardwood Floors, BNS, Seneca Millworks, Hertog Vloenen Flooring and the private-label Woodside Collection.

"Our business plan is to carry limited lines but deep stock," said Steven Marchick, chairman and CEO of Menlo Hardwood. "We're stocking very deeply for immediate service."

Along with its headquarters, Menlo Hardwood operates a sales center and showroom in Los Altos, Calif. Warehouses are located in Rancho Dominguez and Fremont. John Morgan is the Southern California territory manager. Mike McGillis is the company's sales manager. For more information, telephone (800) 257-7375.
