Shown here in terra cotta, Kaindl One is a new luxury laminate flooring brand to the United States.

One of Europe's largest producers of laminate floors, Kaindl, is coming to America. Though the company has been providing private-label products to U.S. flooring suppliers for nearly 14 years, Kaindl plans to officially unveil its own North American brand: the Kaindl One line of luxury laminate flooring. Comprising 50 SKUs including distinctive tile, slate and wood grain visuals, the high-end brand will be debuted during Surfaces at booth #7358.

"We see the need in the market for a good, high-quality piece of laminate," said Steve Mone, president of U.S. operations for Kaindl. "We took our time developing this product, to create designs to specifically meet the needs of the United States market."

Mone says that the U.S. arm of the company, based in Cranford, N.J., is seeking distributors for the Kaindl One offerings. "Our line has been developed for better-quality distribution channels," Mone said.

The new line included wider plank dimensions (13 by 52 inches), antibacterial and antistatic properties, beveled edges and continuous patterns. The company's world headquarters in Salzburg, Austria is vertically integrated, with production and R&D housed under one roof.
