Gilles de Beaumont

Tarkett Commercial president Gilles de Beaumont has been named president of the Resilient Floor Covering Institute (RFCI) for a two-year term. He succeeds Brian Carson, senior vp innovation for Armstrong, who has served as president of the trade organization since 2003. In his role as president, de Beaumont will be responsible for the organization's business affairs, while continuing to work with its board of directors.

RFCI managing director Douglas Wiegand said the Tarkett executive was an excellence choice to lead the RFCI, which was established in 1976 to support the interests of the resilient floor covering industry. "Gilles clearly has demonstrated his leadership ability since joining the board," Wiegand said.

De Beaumont said he was eager to begin his new role. "This organization truly has helped raise the standards in the resilient flooring industry and I look forward to playing a larger role in helping to further its mission," he said.
