Edgy new Wilsonart campaign focuses on drawing women
How nice are Wilsonart's new floors? A new ad from the company says: "Be that couple that actually makes love on the kitchen floor." The attention-getting ad is included in a new consumer advertising effort tied to 28 new laminate offerings from the company. The ads use risqué humor and situations to draw the attention of the target audience: hip female consumers.
"This is a fun, creative campaign that elevates flooring from being merely flooring to an extension of the consumer's personality," says Curt Thompson, Wilsonart director of sales and marketing. "Flooring is as much a part of a person's sense of style as anything else in a room."
The ads are slated to appear in O at Home, Coastal Living and other magazines. There were created by Austin-based MAKOS Advertising. Other taglines for the edgy new campaign include "Suddenly, guests will feel compelled to bring better wine" and "The low-maintenance relationship you've always wanted."
