To mark the 15th anniversary of the CrossBond fiber technology used in Anso nylon-and to make a point about its popularity-Shaw Industries has calculated that there has been enough carpet sold containing the fiber material to circle the earth five times.

Introduced in 1991 by what is now Shaw Industries' External Fiber Sales and Marketing, CrossBond is described by the company as the first fiber advancement to resist foot traffic crushing while improving the performance and aesthetics of the carpet.

"Fifteen years ago, Anso nylon set the gold standard for fiber technology with its introduction of CrossBond technology," said Shaw's Mike Leary. "Today, we celebrate that achievement by marking its 15-year anniversary and continuing our commitment of providing leading edge technology advancements for the benefit of our dealers and their customers."
