The Torrence, Calif.-based company that makes Mer-Krete Systems for installations says its industry profile will significantly increase as the result of its recent alliance with ParexLahabra, Inc. “Being part of a 1.5 billion dollar corporation will afford Mer-Kote the chance to greatly expand our presence and product lines within the industry,”said a spokesperson for Mer-Kote Products, Inc.

Mer-Kote’s line of waterproofing and crack isolation membranes, thin-set mortars, grouts, underlayments and decking products will be added to ParexLahabra’s line of powdered goods. In addition the acquisition is expected to help Mer-Kote extend its line as the two companies share technology while offering employees new opportunities and growth prospects.

Plans call for Mer-Kote to operate as a subsidiary of ParexLahabra, while remaining a separate entity. Mer-Kote is also maintaining its current management team including Tim McDonald as operations officer and Clint Anna as national sales manager.
