In an effort to integrate design, function and life-safety, Johnsonite is offering courses both online and in a traditional classroom setting. Both are free of charge.
The curriculum is divided into three sections: Course 1, Life-Saving Design, is aimed at enhancing public safety and welfare through the integration of design and advanced egress-routing systems. Course 2, Flooring Safety, covers code requirements and guidelines for interior finishes. Course 3, Enhancing Return on High Performance (available only online), examines the role flooring can play in achieving business objectives and in generating long-term benefits.
Johnsonite noted that AIA members who participate can receive one Learning Unit Hour and one hour of Health, Safety and Welfare credit. IIDA & ASID Members earn 0.1 Learning Unit Hour.
