The wave of interest in buildings designed to minimize environmental impact will be the focus of a new B2B magazine published by National Floor Trends’ parent company BNP Media. The new publication, Sustainable Facility, is set to launch in October and will focus on green building techniques in commercial, institutional, industrial and government facilities and will look at all phases of commercial resource conservation.

The new publication will complement two established BNP’s publications: Environmental Design + Construction magazine and Sustainable Home. Staff will include publisher Liz Obloy and an editorial team culled from ED+C including Michelle Hucal, LEED AP, and Joseph H. Mayton III.

“This publication, combined with its website and e-Newsletter, will meet the information needs of today’s facility managers, building owners/developers, and energy and power management professionals better than any other in the market,” Obloy said.

The magazine will launch Oct. 15. The magazine’s second issue, the “Sustainable Facility Green Book,” will print in December and feature expansive buyers guide/product directory content. Plans call for the magazine to be published seven times in 2008. For more information, call Liz Obloy at (248) 244-6452, e-mail her at Obloye@bnpmedia.com or visit www.EDCmag.com/SustainableFacility.
