Impax’s KoolGlide Carpet Seaming System, winner of NSPE’s New Product of the Year Award.

The National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) recently honored Impax Technology Group’s KoolGlide Carpet Seaming System with a New Product of the Year Award.

“It is almost overwhelming to have our company represented alongside some of the biggest and most recognizable companies in the world,” said Rob Rothfuss, Impax founder. He went on to say that the NSPE recognition “is a great source of pride for everyone involved in the development of the KoolGlide product and the technology inside it.”

Built around a miniaturized induction heating system called Sinch Technology, KoolGlide is designed to finish five feet of seams per minute while giving installers a quick and easy way to correct mistakes, according to the company.

Each year, the NSPE judges thousands of companies and honors four with national recognition based on strict criteria. Past award winners include 3M, DaimlerChrysler, Raytheon Aircraft, GE Medical Systems, Mercedes-Benz and Boeing.
