Three flooring manufacturers were among those showcased at
an environmentally themed pavilion at the recent High Point Market in High
Point, N.C. The second edition of the semiannual EcoStyle Pavilion showcase
included entries from Colonial Mills, Foamex International and Prairie Rugs as
well as several home furnishings companies.
“The EcoStyle Pavilion is an
important and growing feature,” said event organizer Karen Olson. “More and
more consumers are becoming aware of the importance of sustainability and are
making lifestyle choices to minimize their impact on the environment. This
consumer demand is driving more and more buyers at High Point Market to
specifically seek out earth-friendly products.”
The pavilion is a joint effort
from Merchandise Mart Properties and the Sustainable Furniture Council.
Organizers said it helped underscore the growing important of “green-
products.”
