The Flooring Industry B2B Standard Committee recently approved the formation of the Floor Covering Business-To-Business Association. According to the committee, the nonprofit corporation will aim to "facilitate more efficient business communications within the floor covering and related industries."
Plans call for the B2B association to streamline e-transactions between customers and suppliers, develop B2B infrastructure in the industry and "promote leadership in the development of ethics, standards and policy throughout the industry."
Founding organizations of the association include the World Floor Covering Association, the Carpet and Rug Institute, the Ceramic Tile Distributors Association, the National Association of Floor Covering Distributors and the National Wood Flooring Association.
