MAPEI recently helped repair the exterior of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City, as part of a four-year restoration of the famed 49-year-old building. Products used in the project included Mapefer 1K corrosion inhibitor, Planitop XS repair mortar, Mapelastic waterproofing membrane and Elastocolor Rasante finish coating. Rainer Blair, president and CEO of MAPEI Americas said his company was “very proud” to be selected for the high-profile project. “Our ability to draw upon a global network of technological resources has allowed us to meet the challenge presented by the Guggenheim restoration,” he said.
