The World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) board of directors has increased the funding for the Trade Scholarship Program to $240,000 for the 2011-2012 fiscal year, beginning July 1, 2011.
The program was designed for principals and employees of regular member firms to offset the cost of business and industry-related education and training approved by the WFCA. Regular member firms are eligible to apply for an annual maximum cumulative total of up to $500. Up to $100 may be used for approved online training; reimbursement will be at 100% up to the maximum allowed. Scholarship funds may also be used for the WFCA’s Industry Certification Program and Certification renewal fees.
Checks should be made payable to the approved educational/training program provider, not reimbursed to the member business. Funds for this program are allocated quarterly on a “first come, first served” basic.
Applications must be received by the WFCA at least 30 days in advance of an approved program, but not more than 60 days in advance.
