Greensboro runner Matt Ketterman uses running streak to fight hunger
Approximately 200 runners braved the summer heat as they ran along Greensboro’s Greenway in support of feeding hungry North Carolina families during the 2012 Matt’s 10K Run to Fight Hunger on Saturday, July 7th. Because of the large turnout and high spirits, Ketterman and his business was able to raise enough money to buy 60,000 cans — surpassing their original goal of 50,000 cans. The event raised more than $5,000 and helped the Piedmont Triad Apartment Association provide cans of food to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Western NC.
Multiple companies came together to help celebrate Matt Ketterman’s 21 year running streak and to support Second Harvest Food Bank. Primary sponsor Got You Floored, was joined by Off-n-Running, The Piedmont Triad Apartment Association, Stir Creative, SEO Rocket, Primo Water, Daily Bread and Harris Teeter who al contributed to the success of the event.
