Johnsonite, the commercial arm of Tarkett, was recently honored with a Bronze Innovation Award at IIDEX Canada 2012.

iQ Natural Vinyl Flooring received the award in the Flooring: Hard, Resilient, Wood category.  According to the IIDEX website, the IIDEX Canada Innovation Awards are organized by Interior Designers of Canada and “were established in 1984 to celebrate excellence and innovation in product design and booth creativity. Winning entries successfully address a long list of criteria including problem solving, budget, strategy, environmental responsiveness and marketing objectives. The Innovation Awards are exclusively for IIDEX Canada exhibitors and are judged by representatives from the design, media, and business communities.”

Introduced this spring, iQ Natural flooring is a major advancement in commercial vinyl sheet flooring; combining beauty, high performance and sustainability - offering a truly balanced choice for any flooring application.

Johnsonite's iQ Natural combines the tonal aesthetics of the Melodia line with the high-performance benefits of iQ construction, creating a highly sustainable choice for any commercial application, especially high-traffic applications such as healthcare, education, offices and retail.

iQ Natural’s construction provides high quality, low maintenance, extreme longevity and the market's best life-cycle cost.

Using a bio-based plasticizer that is natural and renewable, iQ Natural is made up of 75 percent natural and 16 percent renewable content, making it a very earth-friendly commercial solution. It is 100 percent recyclable, which not only saves landfill space, but also reduces waste.

"Being awarded the Bronze Innovation Award rewards our efforts and brings reassurance to our sustainable practices and flooring innovation," said Laurey Banker, director of product management, Johnsonite.
