Shaw Facilities Receive Green Building Certifications
Shaw’s Asia manufacturing facility in Nantong, China, has achieved LEED Silver status in the new construction category.
LEED certification is recognized globally as the premier mark of achievement in green building, according to the company. To receive certification, building projects satisfy prerequisites and earn points to achieve different levels of certification—Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Points are accrued in five green design categories: sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources and indoor environmental quality.
