This sound-attenuating secondary subfloor component provides IBC 1207 code compliant sound control ratings. When applied over the structural subfloor, 440 SoundBarrier provides extensional damping that creates a combined layer of damped mass with the previously resonant plywood, OSB or concrete. All types of finish floor surfaces can be installed over 440 SoundBarrier.
