Meet the Flooring Winners of the 2024 Good Design Awards

The prestigious Good Design Awards has unveiled its 2024 winners in the flooring category, showcasing breakthrough innovations that blend functionality, sustainability, and aesthetic excellence.
This year's award-winning flooring designs represent the pinnacle of the industry, selected from thousands of submissions across 56 countries. Each winning entry underwent rigorous evaluation by an international jury of design experts against the program's foundational criteria: product function, aesthetics, ease of use, and responsibility/sustainability—the same standards established at the program's inception in 1950.
The 2024 flooring winners demonstrate exceptional achievement across all nine judging criteria, including innovation, functionality, formal quality, ergonomics, durability, ecological compatibility, and emotional resonance. These groundbreaking designs push the boundaries of what's possible in flooring solutions and address contemporary concerns of sustainability and responsible manufacturing.
“It’s an honor to be recognized with an award that carries the impressive history of Good Design,” said Jenne Ross, Karndean director of product. “We’re proud to offer an LVT product that truly elevates the possibilities for designers and architects.”
"We are incredibly proud to receive the Good Design Award for MedinPure," said Fred Reitz, vice president of commercial at AHF Products. "This award reflects our team's ongoing dedication to creating flooring solutions that not only meet the evolving needs of our customers but also address the growing demand for sustainable, high-performance products. MedinPure represents the intersection of design-forward aesthetics, environmental responsibility, and superior functionality—qualities that are more important than ever in today’s commercial spaces."
Established in Chicago in 1950 by design luminaries Charles and Ray Eames, Eero Saarinen, and MoMA curator Edgar J. Kaufmann Jr., Good Design has evolved into the world's oldest and most prestigious design recognition program. Under the direction of chief curator Christian Narkiewicz-Laine, who has led the program since 1987, the awards continue to celebrate excellence across all design disciplines, from products and packaging to architecture and user experience.
