James Hardie Building Products has expanded its U.S. capacity to supply products through the acquisition of Cemplank's fiber-cement operations. Through this deal, James Hardie will acquire all of Cemplank's fiber-cement operations, which includes the lease of two manufacturing plants located in South Carolina and Pennsylvania.

James Hardie now operates eight fiber-cement plants throughout the United States located in Fontana, Calif.; Cleburne, Texas; Waxahachie, Texas; Plant City, Fla.; Tacoma, Wash.; Peru, Ill.; Blandon, Pa. and Summerville, S.C.
