ABC strongly supports death tax repeal

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) has expressed strong support for legislation that would permanently repeal the estate or "death" tax. Permanent death tax repeal will help family-owned construction businesses, according to ABC.

Reps. Jennifer Dunn (R-Wash.) and Bud Cramer (D-Ala.) introduced H.R. 8, the Death Tax Repeal Permanency Act of 2003. This legislation would make permanent a repeal of the death tax, which currently is set to sunset in 2010.

ABC considers this vote a key vote for its 108th Congress Voting Scorecard, which ABC will release at the end of 2004.
