Foam Products Corp. is set to acquire a production facility
in Erwin, Tenn. from Leggett and Platt. The 59,000 sq. ft. facility curently
houses three coating lines capable of producing form product up to nine feet
wide.
Foam Products, a narrow web foams and coatings producer since 1978, plans to take over operates in Erwin in early 2007 after equipment modifications. Ken Garner, the company’s vp and general manager, said “The acquisition will permit planned growth of the Silencer (a trademark which Foam Products produces and sells under) underlayment business as well as other growing specialty foams and coatings.”
