Upping production, Faus invests $40 mil in Calhoun plant

Aiming to expand its manufacturing capabilities in the United States, Faus Group Inc. said it has invested $40 million into its manufacturing plant in Calhoun, Ga. The revamped plant will include a fourth press line and second milling line.
The additional lines "will give Faus the capacity to produce 100 million sq. ft. per year of high-end laminate flooring," said Gonzalo Frey, CEO of Faus. With the enhancements, Faus will also begin moulding production at the plant this fall, he added.
Faus has operated out of the U.S. from its Calhoun, Ga.-based headquarters since 2006.
