Both Eric Demaree (president, Carpet One Floor & Home) and Vinnie Virga (president, Flooring America) offered their insights not only into their business models, but also their opinions on the economic climate and what it will take for retailers to remain successful.

Both executives say it is time for retailers to become more aggressive than ever before in generating leads and following up with every consumer who walks through the door. Additionally, Demaree and Virga stressed the importance of the Internet as the new storefront and lead generator.
