Staten Islanders Who Owned Flooring Company Accused of Tax Fraud

Between 2005 and 2008, a Brooklyn flooring company owned by two Staten Islanders paid more than $91,000 in federal Social Security and Medicare taxes.

But that figure was hardly enough, federal prosecutors allege. Richard D'Onofrio and Mark Taliercio should have forked over another $600,000, contend prosecutors.
