Bostik and Artaic Design Continue Accepting Competition Submissions
Bostik and Artaic Innovative Mosaic, creator of architecturally compelling mosaics using its patented American robotic production, continue their search for “Design ‘N Gather (DNG)” Mosaic Mural Design Competition entries.
“There is still time to register,” said Scott Banda, director of marketing of Bostik's consumer and construction business unit. “Already, some of the world’s top designers have submitted designs to portray our requested theme, which must depict the energy, life and essence of Las Vegas. In addition to the Grand Prize, which will be a free trip for two to Paris, the ten top finalists will receive many terrific prizes, as well.”
The winning one-of-a-kind mosaic masterpiece will be produced and then, permanently installed as a 20 x 8-foot backlit wall at Wet Republic, MGM Grand Las Vegas’ poolside bar and patio area.
Designs from the top ten finalists will be on display at the “Bostik Gallery Lounge" at HD Expo ‘16, the premier hospitality design tradeshow held at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, May 4-6 of this year.
From there, the gallery of finalists will then move to American Institute of Architects (AIA) Convention in Philadelphia, May 19 through 21.
“The Grand Prize winner will be fully constructed and on display at the Bostik Hospitality Pavilion at HD Expo,” said Ted Acworth, founder and CEO of Artaic. “All submissions must be designed using Artaic’s Tessera design software and fabricated using the firm's robotic manufacturing technology. Bostik’s Dimension Pre-Mixed, Glass-Filled Grout (which is available in 15 designer colors) must be used as the final design element of the mosaic.”
The first 50 entrants will receive:
• VIP ticket to HD Expo’s Party by the Pool
• Personal tour of Artaic facilities with Acworth, during their next visit to Boston
Top 10 finalists will receive:
• Decorative trophy mosaic panel of their design
• Major press coverage
• Extra tickets for HD Expo’s Party by the Pool
Top three finalists will receive:
• Free round-trip airfare to HD Expo in Las Vegas
• Plus all of the aforementioned items that the top 10 finalists receive.
Winner will receive:
• Free trip for two to Paris
• Free trip to HD Expo in Las Vegas
• Extra tickets for HD Expo’s Party by the Pool
