As part of Quick-Step’s “RoomUP Blogger Challenge,” Mallory and Savannah of Class Clutter, a design duo known for their “Modern Vibrancy” style, selected Quick-Step’s White Wash Oak as a key part of their garage-to-office transformation project.

“When I purchased my house, I quickly realized the potential that our garage had,” said Mallory. “I decided on our first walk through, before the house was even ours, that I would convert the ‘third car’ spot of the garage into my office.”

Mallory wanted her new office to reflect her personality and design style, so she planned to use a bold, jewel tone color palette with vibrant pieces and gold metallic accents. To ensure her furniture and décor would really stand out, she said that she wanted a very light, almost white floor. She chose Quick-Step’s White Wash Oak from the Reclaimé collection, which offer the aesthetic and charm of a floor constructed from reclaimed, vintage wood that has been white-washed by hand.

“Reclaimé’s White Wash Oak laminate planks are on pace with the latest design styles and trends in the home decorating market,” said Paij Thorn-Brooks, vice president of brand marketing for Mohawk Laminate and Hardwood. “Three of the biggest trends in hardwood flooring right now are time-worn visuals, strong character looks, and wide/long planks. Our White Wash Oak’s sophisticated design, texture, and large plank size satisfy all of these design needs with unmatched realism and expansive style.”
