Dave Polisky


VC US, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of privately owned Belgian company IVC Group, has appointed 15-year industry veteran Dave Polisky sales and marketing vp. His responsibilities include supporting the company’s luxury vinyl tile market share and increasing its sale staff. He previously served Tarkett as distribution sales vp.

Celia Blum has joined Catalina Carpet Mills as national sales manager where she is responsible for leading the company’s sales agents located outside California and Nevada. Blum brings more than 30 years of high-end residential market experience to her new post.

Annette Lewers

BonaKemi USA has reorganized its sales team and appointed Todd Schutte director of distributor sales and training, Enos Farnsworth to director of new business development, Dee Lenston to training programs manager, and Mark Pacacha to director of commercial sales.

Lucie Pelletier

Boa-Franc G.P., producer of Mirage prefinished hardwood flooring, has appointed Annette Lewers and Lucie Pelletier as architectural and design representatives. Lewers, who has been with Olympia Tiles for the past 16 years, will cover Ontario. Pelletier, who previously served Armstrong and Torlys as a dealer and distributor representative, will cover Quebec.

Dennis Mohn

Dennis Mohn has joined Award Hardwood Floors as president and ceo. The 30-year industry veteran recently served Alloc Inc. as marketing and sales vp. In his new position, Mohn will lead Award in all aspects of its business, with emphasis on growing the company’s market share through strategic sales and marketing initiatives.

Chris McKee

Mohawk Industries has named Rik Born vp of Eastern sales for hard surface products. In his new position, he will provide sales leadership, expertise and management to Mohawk’s Southeast, Northeast, Ohio Valley, and North Central regions. Prior to his new post, he served Armstrong World Industries for nearly 30 years in various positions.

Chris McKee has been tapped as Amtico International’s ceo for North America. He brings more than 18 years of industry-related experience, most recently for Home Depot as flooring services general manager. McKee replaces outgoing ceo David Motyl.

Richard LaRocca

Newly added to INSTALL’s International Labor-Management Committee is 20-year installation veteran Thomas Lutz. Based in Detroit, his post includes creating alliances with major mills and manufacturers and upholding INSTALL’s commitment to increasing the skill of flooring installers. Lutz, who played a role in developing the original INSTALL curriculum, currently assists contractors in securing INSTALL-trained professionals for jobs.

Best Tile Distributors of New England has appointed Richard LaRocca contractor sales manager for the Shrewsbury, Mass., area. In his new role, he will lead the company’s efforts in re-entering the commercial sector with contractor-specific training and educational programs. LaRocca has been involved with the tile industry for more than 20 years, most recently with American Olean.

UFloor Systems, Inc. has appointed Mike Summers technical director – hardwood. Based in Oregon, he will offer UFloor customers technical support, conduct training sessions, offer solutions, and recommend products. He comes to his new post from Summers Flooring and Design, a family-owned and operated business started by his father.

Mike Havas has joined Formica Flooring’s sales team as its Northeast regional sales manager. He brings more than 25 years of experience to his new position, most recently with Apollo Distributing as its residential sales and product manager.
