Gerflor USA recently opened the doors to its Technocentre—a 2,000 square foot facility dedicated to giving installers access to the best tools and techniques for installing Gerflor flooring products, according to the company.

Located in the company’s Chicago area headquarters, the Technocentre will be home to a total of eight installation training sessions this year.

Led by Gerflor’s technical team, Marc Papillon, David Stowell and Ron Whiting, Technocentre trainings are focused in three dedicated areas: sport installation, commercial installation and special markets and products installation. Each session is purposefully limited to six to 12 people, providing each trainee with personal attention and support. Participants walk away from their session with the tools, tips and techniques they need for installing Gerflor floors with confidence and precision.

“I came to the Technocentre with questions and left with answers and confidence,” said Keith Weber, a Technocentre trainee. “I’m confident in my welds and how to check them for complete fusion. The hands-on training is excellent and I’m completely comfortable with installing the products. My experience was enjoyable and I’ll be bringing other installers from my company for the valuable education.”

Beyond the educational experience, where most trainees have the opportunity to complete two mock-up rooms, the installers leave with a certificate that proves their proficiency with installation.

“Our partners and customers have always valued the high-quality products we offer,” said Marc Papillon, technical director, Gerflor. “With the Technocentre, we now round-out the full Gerflor experience by teaching our partners the proper way to install flooring for optimal results."
