Developed using the patented Woodura® surface technology from Välinge Innovation, this new generation of wood flooring is engineered to withstand wear and tear while making smarter use of natural resources. The technology enables the production of more durable floors using significantly less wood. First introduced through Woodura Planks – also known as hardened wood floors due to the heat and pressure treatment – the innovation has now been applied to the herringbone format.

Modern shades and patterns 

The herringbone pattern has a history dating back to ancient civilizations, where it was used in road construction due to its interlocking strength. Today, it remains popular for its timeless elegance.  

With dimensions of 21.5 in x 3.5 in, the Woodura Herringbone 2.0 strips are larger than in traditional herringbone parquet, giving the floor a contemporary character. The format allows for a variety of patterns, including square block layouts, ladder patterns and brick bonds.  

The design suits open interiors where visual impact is key. It’s a heritage pattern reimagined for the modern world – durable, adaptable and effortlessly beautiful.

A more sustainable solution

The combination of strong design and material efficiency makes this floor a standout. Thanks to the Woodura® technology, up to ten times more surface area can be produced from the same volume of wood. The hardening process also makes the floor three times stronger than traditional wood flooring, resulting in a product that lasts longer – a win for both the customer and the environment. 

Sustainability is a key driver behind the product development. Crafted from responsibly sourced, FSC-certified Croatian oak and designed to minimize raw material use, Woodura Herringbone 2.0 is a more environmentally conscious real wood flooring option – a quality increasingly valued by architects and interior designers. The goal is to create floors that stand the test of time – both stylistically and functionally. 

The range includes three modern, Scandinavian-inspired colors: the clean, contemporary and calm Misty White; sophisticated and soft Earth Grey; and the warm and neutral Natural. Light colors are becoming increasingly popular in the US market since they’re versatile and timeless – an ideal option for multiple types of interiors. Our philosophy is that while you might want to update your color scheme and furniture, the floor should remain long-term.  

All colors are available in a refined Select grading that provides a harmonious, uniform look – a perfect foundation for any creative interior design project. A tough pro matt lacquer protects the surface, making the floors both long-lasting and easy to maintain.
