Wide Plank Floor Supply, a division of City Floor Supply, is offering a free training session designed specifically for architects and interior designers to learn everything they need to know about wide plank and long length flooring, on Thursday, Nov. 17 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Wide Plank Floor Supply showroom located in King of Prussia, Pa.

The training—developed by the National Wood Floor Association (NWFA)—will be led by Mike Glavin, chemist and founder of City Floor Supply and Wide Plank Supply. Architects will receive 1 CEU credit upon completion of the training session.

NWFA developed this training in response to the surge in popularity of wide plank and long length wood floors over the past several years.

“The training session is designed to educate architects and interior designers on this emerging trend so they can in turn provide immense value to their clients,” said Glavin.

Attendees will learn everything there is to know about the numerous flooring options and finish techniques available to their clients. They will also have a chance to browse the various types of wide plank and reclaimed flooring on display at the Wide Plank Floor Supply showroom.

“This is a great opportunity for architects and interior designers to really set themselves apart from their competitors with this unique knowledge of wide plank and long length flooring,” said Glavin.

This training session is registered with the following professional organizations:

  • The American Institute of Architects
  • The Interior Design Continuing Education Council
  • American Society of Interior Designers
  • Interior Designers of Canada
