Scott Humphrey, CEO of WFCA, announced that Andrea Dobbins has joined the group’s philanthropic arm, the Floor Covering Industry Foundation, as executive director.

“The Foundation has been a phenomenal success by any standard,” Humphrey said.  “We have brought Andrea Dobbins on board to help keep that momentum going and guide FCIF to the next level.”

Dobbins comes to FCIF from the United Way where she rose through the ranks over a 11-year career to Director of Donor Engagement and Strategy. In that role, Dobbins was responsible for overseeing fundraising and marketing functions and staff at United Way of Northwest Georgia, which mobilized more than 4,000 volunteers and raised nearly $4 million annually. Her positions included managing strategic marketing initiatives, volunteer engagement programs and donor relations. Dobbins holds an BS in Marketing Systems from Dalton State College and an MBA from Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University.

“At the Floor Covering Industry Foundation, Dobbins will be responsible for the forward direction, vision, and growth of the Foundation,” Humphrey said. “She will work closely with board members and constituents to ensure that FCIF continues to evolve with the market and that all opportunities for growth and expansion are secured.”

“FCIF will continue to be managed by WFCA,” Humphrey explained. “Dobbins will report to Steve Abernathy, the WFCA Chief Financial Officer, as well as the FCIF Board of Directors.”
