FCICA, the Flooring Contractors Association, has opened registration for the 35th Annual Convention, The Age of Flooring, hosted at the Wyndham San Antonio Riverwalk March 5-8, 2017 with pre-convention events March 4th.

FCICA is excited to celebrate 35 years of educating, supporting, and promoting the commercial floor covering industry.  During The Age of Flooring, attendees will have an opportunity to attend five (5) engaging educational sessions, ample time to network and voice opinions during committee meetings and participate in fun events.  Plus meet with over 40 exhibitors including flooring manufacturers, business services, and flooring industry partners during the Commercial Flooring Trade Show on March 6, 2017.

FCICA has a great line up for educational sessions led by industry experts, including the following topics:

  • LEED v4 – How it Affects the Commercial Flooring Professional, presented by Cris Bierschank of MAPEI Americas
  • The Independent Contractor, presented by Sloan Bailey, Partner at Flynn Riley Bailey & Pasek LLP
  • Sound Control Systems, presented by Larry Lyons of Amorim Cork Composites
  • Floor Prep – Why it’s THAT Important, presented by Seth Pevarnik of ARDEX Americas
  • Ask the Lawyer, presented by Sloan Bailey, Partner at Flynn Riley Bailey & Pasek LLP

Additionally, attendees will earn continuing education credits (CEU’s) by attending the entire educational session and completing the online evaluation.  Those working on their Certified Installation Manager (CIM) CEU’s will receive at least 6 credits by attending all of FCICA’s educational sessions and the Commercial Flooring Trade Show.

Once again, the CIM computer lab will be available during the Convention to anyone enrolled in the Certified Installation Manager program, providing a chance to work on the CIM modules and assessments on location.  For more information about the CIM program, visit http://www.fcica.com/CIM and to see available dates and times for the computer lab, visit http://www.fcica.com/annual-convention.
