Following the opening of its new showroom in Red Bank, NJ, Nemo Tile & Stone has announced that the company is continuing its push into new markets, now, into New England. Nemo’s latest hire, Steven Wallace, director for specifications, New England, will lead this phase of the family-owned company’s expansion. Wallace will be managing day-to-day sales efforts, constructing a go-to-market strategy and establishing a long term vision for the brand in this new region.

Previously senior architectural representative at Dal-Tile, and more recently specifier at Shaw Floors, Wallace has a strong technical background in surfacing, which he plans to apply to his new role with Nemo as a valuable resource for clients selecting products. Nemo was a natural next step for Wallace — he was drawn to the company, headed by president and CEO Matt Karlin, by its unique product offerings and energetic leadership.

Wallace will continue to build Nemo Tile & Stone’s established reputation with homeowners, architects and commercial designers in the region and position the company as the area’s go-to tile and stone distributor. With his spirited client-focused approach, Wallace is positioned to disrupt the tile market in the region and bring a whole new consumer base to Nemo.
