Ege Seramik Introduces Road Collections to the North American Market

The Road Collection is Ege Seramik’s newest, matte-finish, glazed porcelain tile created specifically for the North American Market. Taking two tile trends and combining them into one, the Road Collection offers a balanced mixture of both textile and cement “looks”. Ege Seramik worked closely with its design partners to replicate a piece of torn linen embodied in cement. Its matte-finish reinforces this textile-like design.

“The textile effect on the surface was created with actual gauze being applied on a plaster,” said Semih Susleyen, sales manager for North America. “You can clearly see the gauze strands on the tile. Then, using our ink jet technology, the background graphic becomes a cement look outlined with veining and cracks around the edges… making the tiles more visible, giving each one of them an individual character.”
