Torlys recently launched a new type of floor, CorkWood. CorkWood is a specially engineered floor that has been created to bring together the striking look of wood, the durability of laminate, and the comfort of cork. The top layer of the new flooring is made of a high-definition digitally printed 3mm or 2.5mm compressed layer of cork in patterns of oak and walnut and engineered with a durable HDF smart core. The polyurethane finish is equivalent to AC4 laminate and the printing process makes CorkWood more fade resistant than its traditional counterparts, according to the company.

Along with the compressed cork top layer, CorkWood includes the Torlys CorkPlus attached underlay for added warmth and sound insulation. The CorkPlus underlay is also infused with Microban antimicrobial product protection that inhibits the growth of mold and mildew. This program is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified, ensuring the wood and cork used in the manufacturing process comes from responsibly managed forests.

CorkWood Designer features extra-long 6’ planks in nine colors, and CorkWood Elite comes in planks almost 4’ long and a range of five colors.
