Hardwood flooring manufacturer Ten Oaks has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of Shaw Industries Group’s Stuart, Virginia Plant HT, according to an announcement on the Ten Oaks Facebook page. Shaw had previously announced in October, that it would conclude manufacturing operations at that location at the end of the year. This transaction is expected to close in mid-January 2018.

The plant was originally started by the Ten Oaks’ family in 1982, and was sold to Harris-Tarkett in 1998 before being purchased by Shaw Industries in 2010.

“We are blessed to be able to purchase the assets of the Shaw plant and will use them to help us expand Ten Oaks’ flooring operations,” said Buddy Williams, general manager of Ten Oaks. “We look forward to seeing our employees, community, customers, and suppliers benefit from this expansion.”
