Manchester, N.H. -- Carpet One Floor and Home recognized members and suppliers during its awards gala and closing celebration at the recent winter convention in Dallas. Two members were selected who best represent the spirit and core values of Carpet One. Two supplier awards were voted on by the membership and given to the suppliers who provided the best overall service and support of the member’s stores.

The Alan Greenberg award recognizes the member who most embodies the Carpet One Floor and Home spirit and who best represents the values of CCA Global Partners co-founder, Alan Greenberg. It is based on overall participation in programs, contributions to the cooperative, and support of fellow members during the previous year.

This year’s Alan Greenberg Award winner, Gary Dulmes, of Dulmes Décor (Sheboygan, Wis.), joined the cooperative in 1996. He has served the membership as an RNG Coordinator, is a huge supporter of Carpet One Floor and Home programs, and avidly promotes Carpet One’s exclusive brands.

Extremely active in his community, Dulmes has served as president of the Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce, the Midwest Decorating Products Association, and the National Association of Floorcovering Retailers. He serves on numerous boards and advisory councils, including the board of directors of Safe Harbor, a county agency providing help for people subjected to domestic abuse.

“Gary is one of the most humble and sincere people you will ever meet,” said Howard Brodsky, co-CEO of CCA Global Partners. “I’m honored to present this year’s Alan Greenberg Award to him.”

The Wally Hileman Award was created in memory of Wally Hileman, Carpet One Floor and Home’s first vice president of membership. This Award recognizes members who have been in Carpet One Floor and Home for no more than 2-3 years and have shown an outstanding commitment to the cooperative.

Dennis Lauderbach, of Floor Covering Brokers (Traverse City, Mich.) joined Carpet One Floor and Home in 2015. He purchased Floor Covering Brokers in 2004 after a 30-year career in the elevator and escalator industry. He has served on many local boards, including the Home Builders Association, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the Old Town Playhouse and the YMCA. He is also a licensed residential builder. Since joining Carpet One Floor and Home, he has truly embraced the products and programs offered by the cooperative.

For the ninth year in a row, Shaw Industries was voted on by the Carpet One Floor and Home members as The Supplier of the Year. The company’s excellence in executing exclusive programs and innovation in creating some of Carpet One Floor and Home’s best-selling products has made them a trusted partner of the membership.

Receiving Specialty Supplier Partner of the Year for the second time, Carpenter Co. continues to offer Carpet One Floor and Home members consistent quality, outstanding service and innovative carpet cushion products. Carpenter was instrumental in building Carpet One's Healthier Living Installation program, a differentiator that gives co-op members a unique advantage in the marketplace.
