Whippany, N.J.-- Summit International Flooring employees and family members recently volunteered their time to help The Community Soup Kitchen and Outreach Center, a non-profit that provides hot meals to locals who need help getting back on their feet. Volunteers stocked and sorted fresh produce and food for the Free Farmer’s Market, located at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Morristown, N.J. Along with the time spent volunteering, Summit International Flooring also made a donation to the charity.

“It was a very humbling and rewarding experience,” said David Numark, president and CEO of Summit International Flooring. “The volunteers at The Community Soup Kitchen and Outreach Center are wonderful and caring people. They really go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome. Not to mention, the amount of food that they collect to donate was just staggering. From fresh fruit, to dairy products, to cakes, we were able to help feed close to 70 families that otherwise wouldn’t have the means to have this type of food at home.”
