Estwing recently announced the launch of the 5 gal. quiet oil-free compressor through a licensing agreement with Prime Global Products.

“With a reputation as solid as Estwing’s, it was our challenge and opportunity to develop a compressor equal to or better than competitors models and worthy of the Estwing name,” said Jason Richards, president of U.S. operations at Prime Global Products. “The compressor also complements the new line of Estwing pneumatic nailers.”

The 5 gal.compressor operates at 68 dBA. The 1.6 HP (2.5 peak HP) compressor has a maximum PSI rating of 180 with air delivery at 3.8 SCFM. The 14 amp model operates on standard 120V current up to 100 ft.

The 180 max PSI 5 gal. tank provides 50% more useable air than comparable compressors and delivers enough airflow to power two pneumatic tools simultaneously, according to the company. The oil-free 4-pole motor provides extended maintenance-free operation making it ideal for use in construction, flooring, finishing or framing jobs.

The tank fills from 0-180 PSI in less than two minutes and cuts in at 135 PSI to maintain consistent air flow. At 77 lbs., the compact compressor’s 5 gallon tank and roll cage feature powder-coated steel construction with a ball drain valve at its base and rubber feet to dampen vibration. The quiet compressor features a 3,000 hour long life oil-free pump.

The compressor’s steel control panel has liquid-filled pressure gauges, pressure regulator dial, overload protection shut-off and two, ¼ in. universal quick-connector couplers. The compressor also features in a built-in power cord wrap and a replaceable air filter. An integrated, ergonomically-designed handle at the top of the compressor provides easy transport.

The new Estwing 50 ft. hybrid air hose combines the strength and flexibility of rubber plus the light weight of PVC. The kink-resistant, all-weather flexible hose stays pliable even in subzero conditions. Bend resister bands surround the hose at hose joints and help prevent wear and tear. The hose features solid brass fittings with a 1/4 in. industrial NPT and a universal coupler.

Maximum PSI rating for the hose is 300 with a 900 PSI burst rating. The 3.8 lb. hose has a temperature tolerance range of -40°F to +164°F. The rubber-coated hose shields against abrasive contact, oil, chemicals and other solvents and electricity.
