Leggett & Platt Introduces Acoustical Crack Isolation Membrane for Tile

Leggett & Platt introduced ACI-125, an acoustical crack isolation membrane designed for use under ceramic and porcelain tile to help minimize the transference of horizontal in-plane cracking from the slab foundation up to the flooring on top.

ACI-125 is extremely density for support under popular ceramic and porcelain tile, pliable rubber composition, which allows movement to reduce stress transmission from the concrete slab to the tile installation to help prevent tiles from cracking. ACI-125 also protects against horizontal, in-plane, slab substrate cracks up to 1/8 in., helps reduce sound transference between floors and retains acoustic properties over time, can be used above or below grade and installs quickly, and Fresh Dimension antimicrobial helps to inhibit the growth of mold, mildew, and odor-causing bacteria.
